Which phones support eSIM?
Most flagship and mid-range phones released from 2019 onward support eSIM. Your device also needs to be carrier-unlocked to use a travel eSIM.
How to check in 10 seconds
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → if you see Add eSIM (or Add Cellular Plan), you're good.
- Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM. Or dial
*#06#and look for an EID number, which means eSIM is supported.
iPhone
iPhone XR, XS and later, including all SE (2nd gen and later), iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 series. (US iPhone 14 and later are eSIM-only.)
Samsung Galaxy
Galaxy S20 and later, Z Flip / Z Fold series, and recent Note and A-series models support eSIM (a few regional variants differ).
Google Pixel
Pixel 3 and later (with some early carrier-specific exceptions), and all Pixel 4 through the latest generation.
Other brands
Many recent Motorola, Oppo, Huawei and Sony phones support eSIM too — use the 10-second check above to confirm yours.
